Campaign Winner

Primarily due to (a) Mike Richter leaving us in August/September, and (b) Heath ridiculously busy with his teaching program, and secondarily with (c) Mike & Jon both just being generally busy with school/work and work, respectively, this seems to be the best time to end this iteration of our Lord of the Rings campaign. Hopefully we can make some changes and start a fresh campaign sometime in the near future, as this one has been a blast.

In order to name somebody a winner, here is the plan we're going to follow. Everyone needs to send Ryan (jiggerhazzle _at_ gmail) an email with a sequential ordering of all 4 factions, in the order of finish, in your opinion. For example, if you think A was first, and D was last, then you should email Ryan:

1. A
2. B
3. C
4. D

You must rank your faction in LAST place. First place votes will receive 4 points, second place 3 points, third place 2 points, and last, 1 point. Winner will be the faction with the most points.

What should you take into consideration in ranking the factions? All of the following should be considered:
  • Economy: Current income; Likely future income
  • Security: Defensive strength, particularly of home AWs. Ability to repel attacks and survive, using terrain, armed forces, fortifications, treaties, etc.
  • Offensive Capability: Strength of one's armed forces.
  • Deployment: Coordination of forces across Middle Earth.
  • Intangibles: Leadership capability, General-ship skills, etc. (The Sun Tzu factor :) ).
Ryan will keep all votes secret until everyone has submitted them, and then he will tally the results and send out everyone's individual votes and the totals, declaring a winner.

Can't do it. I simply don't know, for example, if Banys' relative passive role helped or hurt him, or if Heath's mobility can beat Jon's heros, or if my concentration at choke points will work...

The majority have spoken! With both Jon & Richter saying that a vote is too difficult, let's pass on the vote-for-winner thing. Maybe we'll just have to settle on a 4-way tie. Well, being Mordor, I think we should settle on a 2-way tie between Heath and me. ;)

Actually, being Mordor, we'll have to settle on a 3-way tie ... for SECOND PLACE!
